Canadian KFC operator roasts 'inaccuracies' in Pamela Anderson boycott
Pam-Anderson-KFC, 2nd Writethru: "A Toronto businessman has asked Pamela Anderson out for a lunch date but it's doubtful she'd find the menu finger-lickin' good.

A week after the sultry former Baywatch star called for a boycott of KFC, alleging suppliers of the fast-food chain mistreat the chickens they slaughter, the head of its Canadian operations issued a letter saying she's been misinformed and asked to meet with her to discuss its policies.

'As a fellow Canadian, it is terrific to see you take such a wholehearted interest in our operations,' John Bitove, chairman and CEO of KFC Canada operator Priszm Canadian Income Fund (TSX:QSR.UN), wrote in a response sent Monday to the B.C. native.

'But I must tell you, Pamela, you are counting your chickens before they hatch.'

Anderson's call for the boycott is being publicized by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. On a PETA website, Anderson, 37, narrates a five-minute video produced by the animal rights group that documents apparent mistreatment of chickens at KFC suppliers in the United States.

'I'm asking people to boycott KFC until the company demands that its suppliers stop crippling chickens and scalding them alive,' Anderson said in the statement."

Pamela Anderson joins PETA boycott of KFC
montgomeryadvertiser.com: "Pamela Anderson has a beef with Colonel Sanders.

The former 'Baywatch' star is calling for a boycott of KFC, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) announced. Anderson narrates a new five-minute video produced by the animal rights group that documents the mistreatment of chickens.

'I'm asking people to boycott KFC until the company demands that its suppliers stop crippling chickens and scalding them alive,' Anderson said in a statement. 'No animals should have to suffer this way, whether they're cats or dogs or chickens.'

A 30-second version of the video will be made into TV and radio ads that PETA will spend $100,000 to place in major media markets, the group said. The video, in which Anderson says the secret recipe to KFC chicken is cruelty, can be viewed at www.KentuckyFriedCruelty.com, a PETA Web site."

Pammie puts her assets on display
channel4.com - News: "Baywatch babe Pamela Anderson has distracted shoppers on one of London's busiest streets by posing in a department store window on top of a diamond-encrusted car.

Proving she's no shop dummy, Pammie posed and pouted as shoppers on the capital's Oxford Street peered into the window of the huge Selfridges store.

The star, who has Hepatitis C, was in town to promote a new Aids campaign and has been urging people to get tested. "

'Stacked' premieres, starring Anderson's bosom
Philadelphia Daily News | 04/18/2005 | 'Stacked' premieres, starring Anderson's bosom: "A blow was struck for body parts everywhere last week when Pamela Anderson's breasts launched their own sitcom.

Some 8 million viewers tuned in for the premiere of Fox's 'Stacked' (8:30 p.m. Wednesdays, Channel 29), in which Anderson herself plays a supporting role, along with Elon Gold and Brian Scolaro as odd-couple brothers running a bookstore together, Christopher Lloyd as a retired physics professor who hangs out there and Marissa Jaret Winokur ('Hairspray'), whose job is apparently to make coffee and illustrate that not all bosoms are created equal.

Some, in fact, are destined to merely be buddies.

Creator Steven Levitan ('Just Shoot Me') offered up minimal plot and dialogue - some of which appeared to have wandered over from CBS' 'Two and a Half Men' or may actually just have been left over from Levitan's earlier work on 'Wings' - but nothing that would distract from Anderson's breasts, which for obscure reasons involving the Screen Actors Guild were not credited separately."

Reality TV not Pam's style
Reality TV not Pam's style: "Pamela Anderson says she has turned down many offers to star in her own reality TV show because she 'hates' the format.

The 38-year-old former Baywatch babe told the New York Times: 'I hate reality shows. I hope they're on the way out.

'I don't watch a lot of TV, and when I do, I don't want to see people you know. I want to escape and see funny things.'

Anderson stars as a bookstore assistant in a new US sitcom, Stacked, which debuts on Fox TV in the US this Wednesday.

The blonde star said after taking time off to stay at home with her two children (Brandon and Dylan - from her marriage to ex-husband rocker Tommy Lee), she felt the time was right to return to television.

'I kind of got antsy,' she added."
